Welcome to ICE
ICE, Inclusive Curriculum Education, specialise in working with Pre-Exclusion students aged 11-16 to help address their behaviours and other potential barriers to learning. We offer young people valuable time away from school to reflect and refocus whilst continuing their academic progress in order for them to successfully reintegrate and maintain their mainstream placement.

We are an Alternative Provision here to support young people, Schools and Academies, offering an additional layer of support to reduce suspensions and permanent exclusions, re-engaging young people to achieve their goals and stay in mainstream education.

ICE facilitates students:

For short term and longer-term placements

Assisting schools with safeguarding and educating excluded students

Working on programmes of intervention to prevent exclusions

Re-engaging non-attenders

Emotion Coaching

Working 1:1 with students on Outreach that need time away from their mainstream setting to reflect and refocus

Functional Skills Qualifications and CPD certified training including basic first aid, sports first aid, food hygiene, health and safety, online safety, childcare and more.

Exam Preparation up to GCSE level and targeted academic intervention
Statement of Intent
ICE will inspire, challenge, and motivate our young people to reflectively unpick their behaviours and give them a deeper understanding of their triggers. ICE will equip young people with the tools and strategies they need to thrive in their mainstream setting promoting the value of education and instilling pride in their school and local community. ICE work to improve attendance, engagement, and attainment with bespoke programmes to suit the specific needs of the individual, promoting progress personally and academically.
Our aim is for young people to complete their programme, empowered, inspired, and motivated to return to their mainstream setting ready to engage positively with the tools and knowledge they need to achieve and maintain their mainstream education, reducing Suspensions and Permanent Exclusions. We base our approach on Maslow’s Hierarchy of needs, working from the bottom up to ensure that we can address and support any unmet needs the young people may have. We form positive relationships providing a supportive, nurturing, and inclusive environment. ICE is a child centred organisation who celebrate all successes and work collaboratively with schools to ensure progress is made.
